McLane Lifestyle

McLane is a family-oriented law firm, both internally and externally. Family, socializing and a commitment to the communities in which we live and work are an important part of the McLane experience.

There are a number of annual get-togethers, some for firm members only, and others that include spouses, partners and family. Additionally, McLane's Activities Committee puts together a number of events throughout the year, some of which have become annual traditions.

Children's Holiday Party

Every December, the firm holds a holiday party for the children of McLane. Visits from favorite cartoon characters, local musicians, food, and a variety of arts and crafts all keep the fun going for a Sunday afternoon. The firm is transformed into a kid's paradise and is a favorite for McLane children.

Firm Annual Holiday Party

Held at the beginning of December, the firm comes together for an evening of dinner and dancing.

Bowling

This outing has become a firm favorite. Limited to firm members only, McLane takes over a bowling alley for a night of "non"competitive bowling. In good fun, the teams take themselves pretty seriously (with rumors that some of our associates sneak in practice sessions in the weeks before the big event). Prizes are awarded in a number of different categories.

Attorney Retreat

Held bi-annual in the spring, the Attorney Retreat is a time to reflect on the strategic and financial growth of the firm, learn about where we are headed and spend time getting to know one another better. For two days, all attorneys head north to a mountain resort where we learn about the firm, participate in teamwork activities, have a dinner, and, most importantly, enjoy each other.

McLane Softball Team

The McLane Softball Team assembles every spring and competes against local law firms and businesses through the summer. Each year, one of the players assumes the role of reporter for the firm's Daily Memo to report on the McLane team's standing. This report tends to be comical and adds a playful spirit to the team's efforts.

Ice Cream Socials

To help us get through those summer months, the firm holds an ice cream social for all employees during the work day.

Minary

Minary is the annual partner retreat (the name stems from the first location of this annual meeting) where firm business is discussed away from the office at one of New Hampshire's resort locations. This is, like the Attorney Retreat, a time to socialize and bond among the partners.
