She formerly served as a trustee of the Squam Lakes Natural Science Center in Holderness, New Hampshire, and as a former director of the Appalachian Mountain Club in Boston, Massachusetts.
She received her LL.M. from Boston University School of Law (1999), her J.D. from Boston University School of Law (1974) and her B.A. from Vassar College, Cum Laude (1970).
