Presenters
John serves as outside real estate counsel to regional and national companies, overseeing the management, financing, and expansion of their real estate holdings. In that role, he develops strategic plans for clients’ real estate assets and coordinates with local counsel across the country to effectively implement those plans, protecting and leveraging clients’ holdings. He also represents clients in all manner of discrete real estate transactions in the north of Boston market, including sales, acquisitions, leases, easement negotiations, and municipal land use applications before zoning, planning, and select boards. John frequently works with in house and outside real estate counsel on stand-alone projects where local counsel is beneficial.
David Gilkie has over 30 years of experience in commercial real estate and specializes in the north suburban Boston office & industrial market. David services landlords and tenants with corporate real estate leasing, acquisitions, and dispositions. David has transacted over 7,500,000 SF of deals with an aggregate value of over $400,000,000. He also advises and brokers investment sale transactions within eastern Massachusetts. David is a current board member of the New England Chapter of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR), a past President of the New England CCIM Chapter, and serves on the board of the Boys and Girls Club of Lawrence.
Chris joined Bank of America Merrill Lynch in 2013 and currently covers the Commercial Real Estate Banking (CREB) New England market as a Senior Relationship Manager based in Boston. Chris began his real estate career by joining the Boston office of HSBC Bank where he managed a portfolio of commercial real estate loans as well as underwriting new deals. Chris is a member of the Real Estate Finance Association (REFA) in Boston, and serves on the board of the Real Estate Lenders Association, Boston chapter, as well.
Jason has over seven years of banking experience and has held management roles at various financial institutions including Cambridge Trust Company and CliftonLarsonAllen LLP. With a consultative background around outsourced CFO and finance support, Jason enjoys working with clients looking for a strong banking relationship, with a particular affinity for supporting women business enterprises (WBE) and minority business enterprises (MBE). Jason joined Eastern in 2021 as part of the Equity Alliance for Business.
