Attorneys Adam M. Hamel and Margaret “Peg” O’Brien will present a webinar sponsored by the NH Bar Association called, “Employee Misclassification: Independent Contractor vs. Employee; Exempt vs. Non-Exempt,” on April 4, 2023. Adam and Peg will address the perils of misclassifying workers as contractors or exempt, as well as the laws governing each of these classifications and what steps businesses can take to ensure compliance and avoid potentially costly consequences.
Adam is a Director at McLane Middleton and Chair of the Employment Law Practice Group. He regularly assists clients on a variety of commercial and employment litigation matters, including claims of wrongful termination, discrimination, and violations of restrictive covenants. Peg is a Director at McLane Middleton.
