Attorney Adam M. Hamel will be presenting on a webinar, “Accommodating Pregnant Workers,” for the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) Greater Nashua on March 13, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. Adam will discuss and provide an overview of employers’ obligations to provide accommodations to pregnant workers and candidates, a summary of state and federal laws providing protections for pregnant workers, including the federal Pregnant Worker’s Fairness Act, the EEOC’s guidance for employers and healthcare providers regarding the PWFA, and provide several real-world scenarios for applying the laws.
Adam is a director in McLane Middleton’s Litigation Department and vice chair of the firm’s Employment Law Practice Group, concentrating his practice in the areas of business, employment and probate litigation. He regularly assists clients on a variety of commercial and employment litigation matters, including claims of wrongful termination, discrimination, and violations of restrictive covenants.
