McLane Middleton attorney, Andrew P. Botti, will be speaking at the Merrimack Valley Chamber of Commerce Human Resource Association’s upcoming event, “HR in an Hour – The State of Non-Competes in Our State.” Andrew will review pending legislation on Beacon Hill, explain how the proposals would change the current state of the law, the likelihood of change this session, and what to do if the law does change dramatically.
Andrew is a director in McLane Middleton’s litigation department. He has handled dozens of non-compete matters, and written extensively on the law in this area. As Chairman of the Smaller Business Association of New England from 2009-11, Andrew was at the forefront of resisting efforts to change the current non-compete law in the Commonwealth.
In September 2015, Andrew was appointed to a one year term by Governor Charlie Baker on the state’s Economic Development Planning Council, charged with developing a comprehensive economic plan for the Commonwealth.
The event will take place on Friday, December 11, 2015, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. in Andover, Mass. For additional details and to register, please click here.
