The law firm of McLane Middleton is pleased to announce the hiring of attorneys John DeWispelaere and Joshua Silverstein.
John is an associate in the firm’s Corporate Department, where he advises businesses on transactional matters related to entity formation, mergers and acquisitions, contract drafting, and corporate governance. Prior to joining McLane Middleton, John was a Hearings Examiner with the New Hampshire Banking Department. John earned his J.D. from the University of New Hampshire School of Law (Formerly Franklin Pierce Law Center) (2015). In 2014, John competed in the Saul Lefkowitz Moot Court Competition and in 2015, he was the Chief Justice of the Moot Court Executive Board. John received his B.S. in Marketing and Entrepreneurial Venture Creation from the University of New Hampshire, cum laude, with a Minor in Economics (2011). Josh is an associate in the firm’s Tax Department. He advises both individuals and entities on various state and federal tax planning issues. He also assists clients with resolving IRS compliance and other tax controversy issues. Prior to joining McLane Middleton, Josh owned and operated a solo law practice where he represented clients in the Greater Boston and Merrimack Valley areas. Josh also previously worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers in their National Tax Office in Washington, D.C. While there, he specialized in tax controversy, entity elections, and compliance with foreign bank account reporting rules. Josh received his B.A. from Tufts University and his J.D. from Boston College Law School.
