Charla Stevens Named 2015 HR Hero

The Granite State Human Resources Conference is excited to announce that Charla Stevens has been named the 2015 HR Hero – an award presented annually to an individual who is selected by his/her peers as exemplary in three key areas: a strategic contributor to their employer, the HR volunteer sector, and the community.

Charla is a director at McLane, Graf, Raulerson & Middleton Professional Association where she chairs the firm’s Employment Law Practice Group out of its Manchester office.  She has practiced on the employer side of employment law matters for over 25 years representing the interests of companies in all aspects of employment law.

A role model and mentor to so many in the HR industry, Charla was a board member and governmental affairs director for the Greater Nashua HR Association from 2007-2011.  She was also the NH State Council government affairs director from 2006-2010 where she established and ran the first statewide legislative conference, which is now in its fifth year.

Jim Reidy, an attorney with Sheehan Phinney Bass + Green and previous HR Hero Award winner calls her, “an accomplished attorney…`who` has served the HR community with distinction for years.”

Fellow McLane attorney, Linda Johnson, calls Charla “a tireless and dedicated advocate of human resource professionals.”

Jennifer Kinville, the 2014 HR Hero Award winner who presented this year’s award, recalled in her speech that Charla’s “commitment to the needs of the HR world go well beyond her work and exemplifies all that she does to further the HR practice and profession – and she does so with the highest level of ethical standards.”

Congratulations to Charla on this recognition for her many contributions to the HR community.
