Manchester, NH The law offices of McLane, Graf, Raulerson and Middleton Professional Association are pleased to announce the election of Jennifer Finch as President of the Association of New Hampshire Law Librarians (ANHLL). The announcement was made at the Association’s Annual Dinner Meeting held in June. Ms. Finch was also appointed Director of Library and Research Services at the Firm.
The ANHLL was established in 1981 to promote law libraries and law librarianship through education to foster a spirit of cooperation. It currently has 28 members, including librarians from Vermont, Massachusetts, and Washington D.C. As President, Ms. Finch will be serving a two-year term and be instrumental in organizing informative sessions to help members keep abreast of the latest legal developments.
As Director of Library and Research Services at McLane, Ms. Finch provides research and reference assistance to McLane employees, as well as maintains the firm’s library collection and makes print and electronic acquisitions that enhance existing research materials. She also negotiates contracts with the vendors of many online fee-based databases and assists in updating the firm’s website content. Ms. Finch is currently managing the process of converting the library’s collection to the Library of Congress system to facilitate information retrieval when using this and other law, academic, and state libraries.
In addition to her active membership in the ANHLL, Ms. Finch is also a member of the American Association for Law Libraries (AALL). She holds a B.A. in Biology and Environmental Science from Colby College and a M.S. in Library and Information Science from Simmons College GSLIS, where she was elected to the Librarian Honor Society, Beta Phi Mu. She has also published a number of articles on Web development.
