The law firm of McLane, Graf, Raulerson & Middleton Professional Association congratulates attorney Jennifer Parent on being nominated as the next secretary of the National Conference of Bar Presidents’ (NCBP) Executive Council, with her expected presidency in 2018.
The NCBP was founded in 1950 to provide bar association leaders across the country and internationally training and a forum for the exchange of experiences, opportunities, and challenges facing each state. Programming includes the provision of legal services, access to justice, community outreach and education, diversity, and other issues facing our courts, our communities, and the legal profession. Members of the Executive Council are recent and past bar presidents who are also leaders in their communities around the country.
Jennifer the president of the New Hampshire Bar Association from 2011-2012, is a director at McLane, a member of the firm’s Management Committee, and chair of the litigation department. She helped found the N.H. Women’s Bar Association in 1999, and served as president from 2000-2002 making her the only woman to ever serve as president of both the N.H. Bar Association and the N.H. Women’s Bar Association. Jennifer also serves on the board of the New Hampshire Bar Foundation, which raises money to provide legal advice and representation for disadvantaged residents struggling to overcome poverty, abuse, and discrimination.
Throughout her career, Jennifer has been recognized with numerous awards and recognitions, including: the 2015 Outstanding Women in Business award by the New Hampshire Business Review, the New England Top 50 Women Lawyers of 2013 by Super Lawyers, the New Hampshire Bar Association’s Judge Philip S. Hollman Gender Equality Award, a Trailblazer in the Law by the New Hampshire Women’s Bar Association, the Union Leader’s 40 Under Forty Business Leaders, and the Robert E. Kirby Award presented by the N.H. Bar Foundation.
In addition, Jennifer is rated by Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers, and is ranked by Chambers USA: A Guide to America’s Best Lawyers in the Labor and Employment category.
