McLane Middleton attorney Jennifer L. Parent will be presenting at the New Hampshire Bar Association’s 17th Annual Labor & Employment Law Update on April 12, 2018 in Concord, N.H.
The full day seminar will address cutting edge developments in employment and benefits law over the past year. With the new Labor Secretary in place and a full US Supreme Court, the agencies and the courts are moving forward and there are many new developments. This year’s program will address significant changes in direction of the new administration and how they will impact the workplace.
As part of the presentation, Jennifer will discuss U.S. Supreme Court employment decisions over the last year and what to expect next.
Jennifer is a Director and Chair of the firm’s Litigation Department. She has over 20 years of experience litigating and resolving disputes for companies and business owners in a wide range of complex commercial cases and employment matters. She has litigated in state and federal courts in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Jennifer has represented employers in the areas of employment discrimination, executive termination, retaliation, harassment, wrongful termination, contract, defamation, wages, trade secret, non-competition, and non-solicitation disputes. She has represented companies in business litigation involving contracts, tortious interference, unfair competition, shareholder, real estate, tax abatement, eminent domain, leases, misrepresentation, and other business disputes. Jennifer has also represented companies in employment and tax abatement matters at the agency level and conducted workplace trainings and discrimination/harassment investigations. She is also a trained mediator with extensive experience in alternative dispute resolution.
