McLane Middleton Announces Retirement of Attorney Alexandra Breed

 

The law firm of McLane Middleton, Professional Association announced today that Alexandra T. Breed has retired from the firm.Alexandra has been a director in the firm’s Trusts & Estates Department where she has counseled individuals and families regarding advanced wealth preservation and transfer techniques, including estate planning, estate and gift taxes, charitable giving techniques, conservation easements, ownership and transfer of significant family properties and guardianships.

A Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, Alexandra’s career included a wide range of awards and recognitions, including: Chambers High Net Worth Private Wealth Law; New England Super Lawyers; Woodward/White’s Best Lawyers in America for Real Estate Law and Trusts & Estates Law; AV Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell; Best Lawyers in America for Real Estate Law and Trusts & Estates; “Top Attorneys in NH” by New Hampshire Magazine; Concord’s 2013 Lawyer of the Year in Real Estate; and 2013 Five Star Wealth Manager by Five Star Professional.

Alexandra has been a volunteer and supporter of many local nonprofit organizations throughout her career.  As she enters retirement, she will continue to serve on the Board of Trustees of The Nature Conservancy-NH; the Mount Washington Observatory; and the Lakes Region Advisory Board of the NH Charitable Foundation.   She is also a former board member for the Appalachian Mountain Club and Squam Lakes Natural Science Center.  She also served on the NH Bar Association’s Board of Governors and the Supreme Court Professional Conduct Committee.

Alexandra and her husband, Doug Hill, will continue to reside in Gilford, NH where she plans to continue to work on land conservation projects, spend more time with her children and grandchildren, and enjoy recreating in the great outdoors.
