Manchester, N.H. (November 16, 2023) – The law firm of McLane Middleton is pleased to announce that attorneys Seth M. Corwin, Shaune L. Hickson, Min Ji (Stephanie) Nham, Joshua D. Sandler, and Steven J. Yannacone have all been admitted to the New Hampshire State Bar.
Seth is an associate in the firm’s Corporate Department, where he advises business clients on transactional matters related to contract drafting, corporate governance, securities, and mergers and acquisitions. Seth earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law. He also earned a Sports Law Certificate from the University of New Hampshire’s Sports and Entertainment Law Institute. During law school, Seth interned with the University of New Hampshire’s Athletics Compliance Office, Parnell, Michels, & McKay, and spent a semester working at Bernstein Shur and then McLane Middleton. He was also the Editor-in-Chief for The University of New Hampshire Law Review and the President of the UNH Sports and Entertainment Law Society. Shaune is an associate in the Administrative Law and Litigation Departments, where she represents clients in a variety of environmental, energy, and other civil matters. Shaune earned her juris doctorate magna cum laude, from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University, with an Advanced Certificate in Environmental Law. While in law school, she was a Senior Associate of Pace Environmental Law Review and a research assistant to two Distinguished Professors of international and environmental law. Shaune also worked with the U.S. Coast Guard Staff Judge Advocates in the Office of Maritime and International Law’s Environmental Law Division, with the Honorable Claire R. Kelly at the United States Court of International Trade, and with two environmental nonprofit legal organizations. She was also the recipient of Haub Law’s Excellence in Clinical Education Award for her client service while working with the Food and Farm Business Law Clinic in New York. Stephanie is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Department. She earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Vermont Law School (2023), where she served as the Articles Editor of Vermont Law Review and as a Clinician for the Entrepreneurship Legal Laboratory. She received her B.B.A. in Strategic Design & Management from Parsons School of Design (2013). While in law school, Stephanie also served as the Vice President of Asian Pacific American Law Student Association and worked as a legal intern at Vermont Attorney General’s Office in the Agency of Transportation legal unit. Stephanie earned Academic Excellence Awards in Legal Research, Natural Resources Law, and Immigration Law. She also received Certificate of Excellence from Vermont Law Review in recognition of her outstanding achievement in promoting legal scholarship. Josh is an associate in the firm’s Tax Department. He has advised a wide range of clients—from Fortune 500 companies to tax-exempt organizations to individuals—on tax controversy and transactional matters. Josh has helped clients resolve issues with the IRS in the audit, appeals, Tax Court, collections, and private ruling contexts. He has represented clients in diverse transactions involving federal and state tax issues, strategic mergers & acquisitions, private fund launches and investments, taxable and tax-free structures, partnerships and corporations, and foreign and domestic parties. Prior to joining McLane Middleton, Josh was a tax associate at Sidley Austin in Chicago. Prior to attending law school, Josh served four years of active duty as an infantry officer in the U.S. Army, earning the rank of Captain. Josh earned his J.D. cum laude from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and his bachelor’s degree in accountancy from the University of Notre Dame. Steven is an attorney in the Administrative Law and Litigation Departments, where he advises public and private clients in matters involving energy project siting, environmental permitting, contract disputes, and compliance. Prior to joining McLane Middleton, Steven interned at American Clean Power, where he lobbied on behalf of member companies seeking streamlined permitting processes, manufacturing production tax credits under the Inflation Reduction Act, and compliance with the Jones Act and emerging offshore wind legislation. While earning his Masters at Yale, Steven helped to plan, size, and procure a Montana rancher’s off-grid hybrid battery-wind-solar system. While earning his J.D. from Pace Law School, Steven assisted a non-profit in three stormwater permit enforcement actions, served on the Pace Environmental Law Review, and externed for The Honorable Kenneth M. Karas serving the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. Steven received his Masters in Environmental Management (Energy & the Environment specialization) from Yale School of the Environment (2023), his J.D., magna cum laude, and Advanced Certificate in Environmental Law from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University (2023), and his B.A. from Williams College with a double major in Political Economy and Environmental Policy (2017).
