McLane Middleton, Professional Association donated 100 blankets to Cross Roads House of Portsmouth, N.H. and Lazarus House of Lawrence, Mass. as part of its year-long Centennial celebration focused on its clients, the community, and its colleagues.
Each month during 2019, the firm makes a donation to the community based on the number “100.”
Founded in 1982, Cross Roads House provides emergency and transitional shelter to homeless men, women, and children in the Seacoast area. They provide homeless families and individuals with basic necessities, as well as the tools and guidance they need to return to permanent housing.
Since opening its doors as an emergency homeless shelter in 1983, Lazarus House has been breaking the cycle of poverty in the Merrimack Valley region. Their food and clothing programs assist families by stretching their dollars so they can afford rent, heat and utilities. Housing provides a safe haven for homeless families and individuals. They have developed an extensive learning environment that provides ESOL and work prep classes and training for success enabling guests to become self-reliant.
The delivery to Cross Roads House was made by Denis P. Dillon, a director in the firm’s Trusts & Estates Department and a member of Cross Roads House’s board of directors. Adam M. Hamel, a director in the firm’s Litigation Department, dropped off the blankets to Lazarus House.
