The law firm of McLane Middleton, Professional Association is pleased to announce the hiring of attorneys Ellen L. Arnold and Hanna May.
Ellen is an attorney with extensive experience in land use development, real estate, energy, and environmental law. Most recently, Ellen was Director of Real Estate and Associate General Counsel at Dartmouth College where she was the lead in house counsel for College Real Estate and Campus Services. In that capacity, she was responsible for planning and permitting large and complex projects, working with numerous disciplines. She also managed College environmental issues, energy initiatives, and community affairs. Prior to her work at Dartmouth, Ellen was a litigation director at McLane Middleton where she chaired the firm’s Land Use Practice Group. Ellen resides in Rye, and is admitted in New Hampshire. Hanna joins the firm as an associate in the Litigation Department. She represents clients in a wide variety of litigation matters. Hanna received her J.D. from the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law. She received her B.A. from Cornell University, where she double majored in Comparative Literature and French Literature. During law school, Hanna was in the Daniel Webster Scholar Honors Program. She interned at Calvin Klein, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of New Hampshire, and McLane Middleton. She is fluent in French, Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian and proficient in Spanish.
