Debra Vanderbeek served as Chief of Staff for the New Hampshire Senate from 2021 through 2024. In that role she provided strategic counsel for developing and implementing key legislative initiatives and budget policy and oversaw Senate staff and operations. She also provided oversight for the operations and staff in the legislative branch.
Debra has four decades of broad and successful public policy experience in healthcare, energy, environment, tax and consumer issues.
From 1991 through 2002, and 2007 through 2021, Debra served as a principal in several consulting firms that specialized in providing issues management, coalition building, and government, community and media relations services to companies and trade associations. She has worked successfully with federal and state legislators, local public officials, and government agencies to achieve public policy goals.
Debra has also provided counsel to NH Presidential, U.S. Senatorial, Congressional and State Senate campaigns and managed numerous statewide and municipal ballot questions across the country on a variety of issues.
In 2002, Debra managed Jeb Bradley’s successful congressional campaign and served as Congressman Bradley’s Chief of Staff from 2003 through 2006.
Debra is a 1981 magna cum laude graduate of Suffolk University.
