John is Of Counsel in the Corporate and Immigration Department.  Previously, John was the President and Partner of GoffWilson, P.A., a global immigration law firm. He was co-founder of the firm and his practice focused exclusively on global immigration both inbound and outbound assisting employers, employees and families. John has consistently been selected as one of the ‘Best Lawyers in America’ under the ‘Immigration Law’ category published by the National Polling Firm of Woodward-White and has been named a Super Lawyer in New England.

John has been practicing law for more than forty years. He represents hundreds of employers, both large and small, in all industry sectors, including large healthcare organizations throughout the US, numerous multi-national companies, import/export businesses, international corporations transferring high tech, executive and managerial workers to the US, as well as colleges/ universities/secondary schools, the high tech industry and manufacturing businesses from all corners of the world.  He assists employers, employees, families and individuals. John assists the medical community with nonimmigrant visas such as J-1, H-1B as well as J waivers, Conrad 30 waivers, National Interest Waivers and permanent residency applications. He has assisted clients with questions regarding NAFTA/USMCA, and the import/export of goods. John assists medical doctors as well as those in the allied health care field (RNs, PTs, OTs, Medical Technologists, Speech Pathologists and others). With his solid knowledge of business and immigration, John is well prepared to help anyone with business immigration needs.

Some of John’s past positions include an Adjunct Faculty position for the Graduate School of Business at Southern New Hampshire University, where he instructed Business, Government and the Environment, an Ethics course for MBA students. In addition, he has written numerous articles for publications over the years, such as the International Human Resources Journal. He also gives regular presentations to State, regional and national Human Resource Associations and private groups throughout New England regarding I-9/E Verify compliance and audits as well as immigration law generally.

John is a member in good standing of the New Hampshire Bar Association, a member of the national American Immigration Lawyers Association and its New England Chapter and the past President  and Founder of  the Diversity Workforce Coalition of New Hampshire.
