Divorce and Family Law

When family issues become legal matters, the ramifications can be dramatic for all involved. This is especially true for divorce cases, which may acutely affect children, financial and living situations, and many other aspects of family life. These concerns only intensify the emotional impact for family members and heighten the need for discretion and empathy in the legal process.

The Family Law Group at McLane Middleton handles all aspects of family law, from planning before a marriage through post-divorce issues. We represent clients in family courts throughout New Hampshire, eastern Massachusetts, and southern Maine.

We understand the deep financial and emotional impact that divorce cases have on the individuals involved, both before, during and after resolution of the case. Compassion is a key element in helping our clients move forward.

We handle many complicated and challenging divorce disputes. Many divorce situations involve other aspects of law. We routinely draw on the advice and expertise of colleagues across the firm for assistance with corporate, business valuation, real estate, trust protection, pensions and other retirement accounts, tax, employment, complex executive compensation, and criminal issues.

If a family law issue cannot be resolved and must be litigated, our team of professionals works to ensure excellent client service, communication, and accessibility to minimize the distress and distraction of litigation.

Our attorneys have been repeatedly recognized for their work by various peer recognition organizations and served as elected leaders of the New Hampshire Bar Association and numerous family law organizations and practice groups. Our attorneys are frequent panel members for continuing legal education programs and publish articles on various family law topics.
